HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

Applications and requirements

A "Laurea specialistica" (second class honours degree) or equivalent degree (4-5 years university) is required, in physics, chemistry, biotechnology, engineering or other science subjects. Admission is granted to a maximum of 8 students on a competitive basis. A commission examines the curricula of the candidates and evaluates their abilities to carry out research. The aim of the selection is to determine the preparation and aptitude of the candidate to perform the research activity in relation to the topics of the doctorate school.

Available Positions starting from Nov 2017: 9 with fellowship + 3 with no fellowship

Scholarships

The School awards at least 9 scholarships on a merit basis. The annual amount of a study scholarship is € 13,638.48 (barring subsequent regulatory amendments)  plus school tuition fees. The grant is increased by 50% for periods spent abroad. For students who do not hold scholarship, the tuition and registration fee amount to about Euro 1600 per year, depending on the income.

The number of available scholarships may be increased following any further funding and will be awarded to candidates without scholarships suitably placed in the ratings and duly enrolled within the terms and according to the procedures indicated in the official call.
